As a CIA targeting analyst, I learned to transform fragmentary data into a clear picture for tactical operators and strategic leaders. At the State Department, I shaped the briefings that landed on the desks of ambassadors and National Security Council advisors. I've been designing AI-augmented workflows for DoD personnel where precision is not a preference, it is the mission.
I kept running into the same problem in different contexts. Mostly, I worked on the highest functional teams. Over time, I saw more dysfunction. Brilliant people clouded by confusion and struggling to stay on course. Leaders who needed courses of action but were getting checklists. Miscommunication leading to stalemates and low morale. Teams handed powerful new tools with no framework for using them well. Organizations moving fast in directions nobody had mapped for collateral damage.
That gap between what technology promises and what organizations actually do with it is where I built my career. This is why I founded Arrowsage.
